A confidential community advocate is a mandated reporter of child neglect and abuse but protects your confidentiality in every other way. We are trauma-informed, healing centered, trained advocates that recognize the intersection of domestic violence, sexual abuse, substance dependency, and mental health. PeaceWorks is here to provide you support in self-determination and towards self-sufficiency.

We have a Safe Pets program that was able to serve over 27 pets in 2023. The Safe Pets outbuilding is located on property and includes large dog kennels with an enclosed outdoor area, a cat room with condos, and a snuggle room. These spaces are heated and accessible 24 hours a day. For larger animals we have off property boarding available. PeaceWorks knows there are many obstacles to leaving an unsafe situation, we are happy to eliminate any worry about your pet.

We are an all inclusive emergency shelter serving LBGTQIA2s+ and male survivors of intimate partner violence as well as stalking and sexual assault survivors outside of a relationship.

The short-term emergency shelter is located in a rural, confidential location in the mountains an hour southwest of downtown Denver. While there is not a set length of stay, your time will be determined based on your individual needs and whether or not our rural location can meet them. PeaceWorks is staffed with trained, trauma-informed advocates that can empathize with your crisis, help educate you about available resources, and fortify your personal empowerment as you choose your next steps. There are voluntary wellness offerings both on and off site weekly, multiple food bank opportunities, well stocked bookshelves, and a playroom and playground for the kids.
