Jane G. has been with PeaceWorks since July of 2016 and we are so lucky to have her on our team!
Jane is a crisis line advocate extraordinaire! She not only takes regular shifts, but will often fill in during other shifts when needed. She is a great asset to our crisis line program, not only because of the shifts she works, but also for the help and training input with new volunteers that she provides.
Jane is also a member of our Board of Directors, and one of the crew that refer to themselves as the “Garage Gorillas” as they work in the garage at the shelter most every week, sorting and organizing the many donations of clothing and other items we receive.
Jane is a multi-talented person with amazing empathy and support skills and she also helps the organization in a myriad of other ways. She is supportive to the staff and is a great sounding board for all kinds of situations, including helping staff and volunteers with self-care ideas and opportunities, planning new ventures and training opportunities for all of us.
